EMMY RED CARPET ROYALS

The 67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards aired tonight in Los Angeles, bringing out the brightest stars and the outfits picked out for them by their stylists! As much as I love television and alot of the shows nominated (VEEP, Mad Men), nothing excites me more than an awards show red carpet!

Top trends of the night: Black, Yellow and Metallic. 

So let's get to the best of the best, the "Emmy Red Carpet Royals" chosen by yours truly!

Rainbow Bright - Jaimie Alexander in Armani Prive

There Will Be Oxblood - Sarah Hyland in Zac Posen - this color is stunning for this Posen gown, which Hyland rocks with coordinating nails and jewels. Reese Witherspoon wore a similar silhouette in black and white by Tom Ford for the 2015 Oscars, which I also loved! Remember this? 

  












Nude Attitude - Giuliana Rancic in Zuhair Murad

Scream Queens - Jamie Lee Curtis and Lady Gaga (in Brandon Maxwell) both look sleek and chic! I'm loving Gaga's toned down look!

Mellow Yellow - Padma Lakshmi in Romona Keveza

Smooth Operator - Trevor Noah looks perfectly pulled together in this classic black bow tie tux!

Downton Cool - Joanne Froggatt looks chic and fashion-forward, but I would have loved to have seen her hair up in a messy chignon to better show off the gown's top detail.

 
Pink is the New Black - Samira Wiley 

Walk the Line - Ellie Kemper in Naeem Khan 

  
2 Chaniz - Claire Danes in Prada and Taraji P. Henson in Alexander Wang. The chain details on both of these gowns are bold and beautiful!

 





























Like A Virgin - Gina Rodriguez in Lorena Sarbu - the "Jane the Virgin" actress looks ethereal and glowing in this stunning gown. I love the wide sweetheart neckline and pop of color in the red clutch. Bravo Gina! Gina was almost my pick for Best Dressed but...

VIDEO KILLED THE RADIO STAR

This is my first post in a VERY long time, but now that my little one is almost two, I feel ready to get back to my blog and share my fav finds, design inspirations and all things TRES CHIC!

Lately I've been browsing YouTube before bed, watching makeup tutorials and getting up-to-date on the latest beauty buzz (e.g. lips a la Kylie Jenner, contouring, strobing and baking - makeup, not cookies). Although not all of these looks are for me, I am obsessed with the videos and their dramatic before and afters! Currently these YouTube beauty mavens are my Top Three in heavy rotation:

Stephanie Lange
I was drawn to Stephanie Lange's tutorials because she has cool toned skin like mine with pink undertones. Foundation shades that match my skin are super hard to find, as most are too yellow. So I figured I'd get some color tips and product recommendations from Ms. Lange! This professional makeup artist from Australia loves Guns N' Roses and Chanel (nice combo!), does an amazing job of camouflaging redness and acne, and she is super fun to watch!

Nikkie de Jager's video The Power of MAKEUP! recently went viral and gained this makeup artist from the Netherlands a huge following. I love watching this down-to-earth glam girl (those are hard to come by!) and her user friendly techniques. Even Stepahnie Lange is a fan!

Bringin' it back state-side, Carli Bybel is a Jersey girl and Megan Fox look alike (hello gorgeous!). This professional makeup artist has been my go-to for contouring techniques and drugstore makeup finds. Her home-based "Beauty Room" where she films is unreal (and there's a video about it)! Carli jet sets between New Jersey and L.A. and blogs about fashion as well as makeup.

beautiful black lace Dolce & Gabbana gown. Love the fun lip clutch!

NEW MOMS CLUB

 

The carpet was full of celebs who just became new moms (or are about to be)!

The evening was the first time we got a chance to see the new mommies all dressed up!

 

New mom Sienna Miller chose a top and skirt from Erdem.
The star gave birth to her first child, daughter Marlowe, in July.

 

Singer Adele made a rare appearance on the red carpet, looking chic in Burberry.
This new mom welcomed her first child, a son, in October.
 

Megan Fox was stunning in Dolce & Gabbana after giving birth to her first child just four months ago.
The star and hubby Brian Austin Green welcomed a son named Noah on September 27. 

 



Claire Danes gave birth to her first child less than a month ago!
The star, who stunned in a red Versace, said "I've been in sweatpants for quite a while so this is successful."
Her son Cyrus Michael Christopher Dancy was born on December 17.

 

Soon-to-be new mom Kristen Bell rocked her baby bump in a flowy Jenny Packham dress.
Bell and fiance Dax Shepard are expecting their first child this spring.
