OLD HOLLYWOOD OSCAR

Last night's 84th Annual Academy Awards brought out the cream of the Hollywood crop as golden Oscars were presented to the motion picture standouts of 2011, including:

The Artist (Best Picture), Meryl Streep (Best Actress, The Iron Lady, her third win and 17th nomination), and Octavia Spencer (Best Supporting Actress, The Help).

See the full list of winners here.

Leading up to the telecast, viewers at home (like yours truly) snuggled up in their pjs with a glass of wine to see who rocked the red carpet!

This year all the starlets (and their stylists) got the memo: Old Hollywood Glamour!
Actresses looked like screen sirens and the men, well the men looked like true leading gentlemen!

Here are TRES CHIC's picks for the best looks of the night, including Best Dressed Couple, and the top honor of Oscar's Best Dressed Female. Enjoy!

Visions in White

Channeling Old Hollywood style, Oscar presenter Milla Jovovich glowed in a one-shoulder Elie Saab gown, paired with ruby red lips and soft curls (above).

E! News host and E! Fashion Police corespondent Giuliana Rancic stunned in a Tony Ward gown. Very Swan Princess!

American Idol judge and Oscar presenter Jennifer Lopez wore her signature curve-hugging style with a shimmery Zuhair Murad gown.

Gwyneth Paltrow rocked a white cape with her white Tom Ford dress. A fashion risk that definitely paid off!

Oscar nominee Rooney Mara (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) opted out of her all black red carpet staple and went white with Givenchy- so refreshing!

Perfect Pair

Best Dressed Couple of the night has to be Hollywood "It" couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie!

Angelina showed some serious leg in her black velvet Atelier Versace gown, which she wore with zero jewels. Brad was the only accessory she needed!

Men On Film

How handsome is Zachary Quinto? Love him in glasses!

Best Actor winner Jean Dujardin (The Artist) certainly is easy on the eyes as one of the Best Dressed Men of the evening.

Best of the Dress

Hands down, Oscar nominee Michelle Williams (My Week With Marilyn) in coral Louis Vuitton was the Best Dressed of the night! From the gown's on-trend pepulm, to the girly accessories, Michelle was the perfect combination of chic and feminine sophistication.

Bravo!

Now time to catch up on all those Oscar films. What a fun awards season it was, can't wait for next year!
